Companions on a journey of compassion

How GriefShare works

GriefShare seminars and support groups are led by people who understand what you are going through and want to help. You’ll gain access to valuable GriefShare resources to help you recover from your loss and look forward to rebuilding your life.

It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member, or friend, you’ve probably found there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel.  This can be a confusing time when you feel isolated and have many questions about things you’re never faced before.

‘Going to GriefShare feels like having warm arms wrapped around you when you’re shivering.”

There are thousands of GriefShare grief recovery support groups meeting throughout the US, Canada, and in over ten other countries.  We have one at St. Oliver's that meets each Thursday evening at 7:00pm to 9:00pm in Room 24 (upper level near library).  Our next session of  GriefShare begins on Thursday, August 17, 2017  and will continue through Thursday, November 16th,  You are welcome to attend any session.  Our final session on November 16th will be a special "surviving the holidays" session.

Surviving the Holidays

Grief and loss can be painful enough to deal with on a daily basis.  But the coming of the holiday season may add extra stress.  The GriefShare ministry would like to help you with your journey through the holidays.  GriefShare is a special help seminar and support group for people experiencing grief and loss. We will be holding a special session on Thursday, November 16, at 7:00 pm in room 24.  We hope you will consider joining us for support, comfort and hope.  Light refreshments will be served.

Please contact Linda Hedges at 770-979-9229 for more information.

The holidays are some of the most difficult times to face after you have lost a loved one.  Join us for this special GriefShare session on Thursday, November 16th.
